INTERNATIONAL TOURISM: STATE AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT

This article examines the events that have occurred in the tourism industry recently. Before, statistics on international tourism show steady growth, but in 2020, WHO announced a pandemic, after which many countries began to take appropriate decisions – the introduction of a regime of self-isolation of the population and the closure of borders. Thus, tourism has become one of the most affected sectors of the global economy. Tourism, as an economic activity, is relatively young in many countries, respectively, it is characterized by uncertainty and exposure to the influence of many factors.
