RUSSIAN TOURISM: DEVELOPMENT TRENDS

The importance of tourism for the development of the Russian Federation is increasing every year. Tourism creates new jobs, serves as an impetus for the development of small and medium-sized cities with a certain tourist potential, stimulates the development of remote, sparsely populated and industrially underdeveloped regions. Today, the differentiation of the tourist product by segments and niches is taking place at a rapid pace. It should be noted that not all of them are actively developing in Russia. Nevertheless, there are a number of types of tourism that are growing rapidly and that can be widely developed in the tourism industry of the Russian Federation. These types of tourism include: – business tours (business travel); - sightseeing and educational tourism; - active recreation; – entertainment tours; – eco–tourism; – event tourism.
